Ken McCarty has spent decades serving the Eagle River and Chugiak community through leadership, counseling, education, healthcare, and public service.
As the owner of Discovery Cove Counseling and a former Trustee of the Alaska Mental Health Trust, Ken has worked directly with individuals and families facing real-life challenges. His experience as a State House Representative for District 13 gave him firsthand insight into the importance of responsive, accountable leadership that listens to the people it serves.
Beyond public office, Ken has remained deeply involved in the community through local organizations, youth programs, aviation advocacy, healthcare initiatives, and volunteer service. Whether helping improve community spaces, supporting local schools, or attending community council meetings, Ken believes leadership starts with being present and involved.
Ken is committed to protecting Alaska values, supporting local families and businesses, and ensuring Eagle River and Chugiak continue to have a strong voice and dependable representation.
