Ken resides in Chugiak / Eagle River and is a community leader, business owner, employer, educator, licensed Marital & Family Therapist, and father of wonderful adult children (daughter and her family helping people in Cambodia and son who is a physician). He brings over 40 years of professional experience.

- Chamber Bear Paw committee member,
- Homelessness task force representative, and
- Member of the Elks, American Legion, Lions, Fraternal order of Eagles, and former Rotarian.
As a professional leader who thinks "outside the box," Ken brought Medication Assisted Treatment to Alaska over 15 years ago to help people become free of opioid addiction. As a mental health professional, creative business owner, and pilot he implemented treatment opportunities for Alaskans through fly-in and tele-therapy services. During COVID it was Ken who was approach to help inform organizations how to continue patient service through telemedicine / tele-therapy.
As your legislator, Ken authored bills to support education for our military families coming to Alaska, high school students to get trade certification training for earlier workforce readiness, and Tardive Dyskinesia awareness. He co-authored 17 successful bills including telemedicine services.
Ken is part of the community daily rather than just showing up to schmooze the voters. He knows how to lead and listen to you. As a statesman, he will listen to others in order establish long standing policy in Alaska to the benefit of you and the next generation.
